Rhabdomyolysis

DESCRIPTION:   

Sometimes clearly evident and sometimes very insidious, rhabdomyolysis is a fairly uncommon pathophysiologic process.  However, if not treated rapidly and appropriately, it has significant untoward consequences for patients.  This session will provide the participant with background knowledge of the etiology and epidemiology of rhabdomyolysis, describe the pathophysiologic processes involved, and provide insight into the care management required to optimize care for patients.

3. Delineate care management strategies for patients experiencing rhabdomyolysis.
